Well I deeply have to say that I’ve fallen behind on posting my books reviews, thoughts.
So I’m dedicating this blog to the numberous books that I’ve read and reviews. . . Starting with The Body Finder, book 4: The Last Echo, then Trinity (De La Vegas Book 1), and lastly a new author read.
In the end, all that’s left is an echo…
Violet kept her morbid ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and her childhood-best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Jay Heaton. That is until forensic psychologist Sara Priest discovered Violet’s talent and invited her to use her gift to track down murderers. Now, as she works with an eclectic group of individuals—including mysterious and dangerously attractive Rafe—it’s Violet’s job to help those who have been murdered by bringing their killers to justice. When Violet discovers the body of a college girl killed by “the girlfriend collector” she is determined to solve the case. But now the serial killer is on the lookout for a new “relationship” and Violet may have caught his eye….
My Review: Well this book was different from the last two, where it surrounds Violet and just Jay her extremely sweet boyfriend. From the ending of the last book, Violet joined a special team, people with abilities, not abilities like hers but they each have their own part in the team. Rafe, who we met in the last book and he was very moody and silent in suffer type. Now he taken an interest in Violet, Jay sees it but Violet was clueless until one accident happen causing Rafe to have minor injuries. Violet also knows that the rest of the team keeps secrets from her because she’s the new girl but it better for her to know these secrets. Meanwhile a killer called the collector, kidnapped girls keeps them for a few days and then they end up dead. Their dead self is proper clean with fresh painted nails of one particular color Lilacs. When Violet become a victim, not only once but twice. The collector name is revealed Caine, and he sought out Violet. In the end Violet has to rescue herself from the danger and in result she is left with the imprint she sense on killers.
One witch, one cat shifter. Add one wolf. Blend. Safety glasses recommended.
Renee Parcell loves her life. Her smoothie/coffee cart business is successful, and she’s deeply in love with her boyfriend, Galen. He makes her laugh, he’s gainfully employed, and he satisfies her as only a sexy cat shifter can. He even puts the toilet seat down. Yet they both sense something in the air. An anticipation that leaves them both unsettled. Tall, blond and gorgeous Jack Meyers, Enforcer of National Pack and one of the most beautiful men Renee and Galen have ever seen, stumbles into Renee’s life and the riddle of their expectation is solved—Renee is Jack’s mate. What surprises them all is when the three of them touch, magick creates an unexpected triple bond of witch, cat and wolf. Even as they learn to navigate the steamy intricacies of their bond, a threat looms over Renee. First in the form of resurrected memories, then in the shape of darker magicks someone is aiming at her. Set on stealing her inherent powers—even her life. Renee can stand to lose almost anything, except her mates. But there seems to be no talking them out of laying everything on the line for her… Warning: All kinds of alpha maleness going on up in here and the woman responsible for keeping them in line. Sexin’ in many varied settings and positions, including sexy times between dudes. Bad words. Tight butts in worn denim. Some violence here and there.
My Review: You think you found your mate but what if you were meant to have two mates? One cat and one wolf? Renee own a small smoothie cart and has the perfect man/husband that she could ever asked for, but when Renee bumped into Jack . . . She’s attracted to him. Jack found his true mate, but how does he go on explaining that to the woman who married? Galen De La Vegan and Renee are confused and concern because Renee loves Galen but she also loves Jack. It turn out Jack, Renee and Galen are all mate to one another. Renee also get attack mentally and physically by a dark magic and then come running in is Kendra her older sister and Herman Rosemary. Renee father been keeping secrets of how Renee mother really dies and some of Renee’s memories are blocked. Renee struggle with both Jack and Galen families but in the end she stands tall. With two hot guys that are willing to do anything for her and lay in bed with her. What else could a woman ask for. The first book of the De La Vegas, contains strong-willed men and a lucky woman to have them both. Witch, magic, wolves and cats.
And Finally, Kitty and the Midnight Hour
Kitty Norville is a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station – and a werewolf in the closet. Her new late-night advice show for the supernaturally disadvantaged is a raging success, but it’s Kitty who can use some help. With one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail, Kitty may have bitten off more than she can chew?
My Review: Well at least I’m reading more werewolves books 🙂 I give five stars for that.
So the book . . . Kitty, who is not actually a cat in any shape/or form. She is a radio talk show host @ the KNOB. Her knowledge for the supernatural has caused a wide range of questions although she try to keep it Fictional. But when a hitman threatens her LIVE on the radio and is right outside the building. Meanwhile there is a murderous rampage where people are killed by a rogue wolf. Plus Kitty is dealing with mixed feeling of the pack she is in, only because the female alpha is attempting to kill her while the male is seeking another female acquaintance. Now remember that hitman? well Kitty seem driven to ask him for help . . .why? she does not know, maybe because of his skills. Her close friend T.J who seems to be very hot and very cool, and would do anything for her. In the end, Kitty find the rogue wolf . . .killed it and was exiled from the pack (due to other reasons)and working at another radio station, different city and a senator who is very god-willing and believe that science can change the world.
