Rise Review

Here’s the deal, I finished Rise in one day (and a half based on hours) and oh my god, it was freaking to die for!

Rise (Nightshade Prequel, #2) The description

The sequel to Rift and the prequel to the New York Times bestselling novel Nightshade.

Everything Conatus stands for is at risk. Hoping to gather enough resistance to save their order, Ember and Barrow attempt a desperate escape. But fate offers little mercy. When their mission is exposed, the  couple face relentless pursuit by the supernatural horrors that act on the commands of Eira’s ally: the mysterious Bosque Mar. A shocking revelation forces Ember out of hiding, sending her back into the heart of dark magic at Tearmunn keep, where she must convince her old friend Alistair of her love or face dire consequences. Ember’s deception offers the only chance for the resistance to succeed, but what she discovers in the shadows beneath the keep will shatter her world and bring about the Witches’ War.

Richly sensual and full of magic, action and danger, Andrea Cremer’s fifth book set in the Nightshade world is an edge-of-your-seat page turner.

Oh boy, Oh boy, Oh boy I can’t believe how quick I went through this book and I am SO pleased with this sequel of the Nightshade Prequel. Now I have read many sequel books by other authors and often time they leave you confusing, open-ending questions, why did they go out of the box or whatever readers want to whine about. This book RISE was NOT a disappointment, NOT AT ALL.

WARNING: This Post will contain SPOILERS so you have been warned!!!!

The Review:

Andrea Cremer has done it again! Complete success on book number two. This was my favorite Nightshade book to read.

I cannot believe what happen in the book, there was many betrayals, greed and power, romance, and of course twists. ALTHOUGH this book did bring up to how Calla’s story connect of the history mention in the Present day Nightshade. And I was shock who it was and how it all became, now I’m curious even more on the “HOW” part. Many fought for survival and against evil or even against their own people who became foes. Ember kick a** in this book and I think she doesn’t give herself enough credits. Eira is deeply under the influence of dark magic that Bosque has presented, its sister against sister at this point. Alastair filled with obsession of his love for Ember for which she does not give in return. Barrow (Sighs) I envy him so much and he is truly a kind man with a soft spot for Ember. I don’t know what else to say about this book as my non-spoliery review.  There will be Battle Scars and the War has just begun.

My Thoughts:

Ok breathe Kat, breathe . . . there is so much thought in my head about this book and it all good and bad stuff so let’s start with where Rift left off.

Ember and Barrow on the run, Alastair stirs with the thoughts of Ember, Eira makes the rules . . .

Barrow confess his feeling for Ember as she does, but trying to be lovey-dovey on the run isn’t the best time then in that moment questions were brought up and then a mere resting time until Dark clouds started coming their way. Alastair find Ember’s room empty and her horse Caber missing, he feared that she took off out of sorrow after a death of a friend but Eira was determined to have Ember on their side so Bosque offers Alastair a way to track Ember and bring her back. UGH note of reference I am really not liking Alastair anymore (he is a heartless man). Now he’s on the hunt for Ember and just when he found her and Barrow (whose could have been seriously hurt in retrospect) . Ember asks for time, thankfully she could convince him but with a loss of a warrior. Eira and Bosque continue to get people to join them but Eira rules the courts and its no secret she is one scary woman.

Ember tries to put on a brave face but inside, she is scared . . . scared for everyone that closes to her and most loyal to her.  Now I love the pairing of Ember and Barrow, I knew from the start that they were meant to be. While there are boundaries about being with someone, Barrow and Ember pushed it to certain limits. Some examples would be like on the ship heading to france (It was a steaming scene) to confessing love to one another. I’d seriously melt every time one of these two are hopelessly romantic, Ember never had feelings like this and Barrow fought so many times that he really can’t imagine fighting this upcoming war without her.  Here’s a  favorite quotes

“Barrow drew a ragged breath, lowering his eyes, and a few teardrops escaped onto his cheeks.

“I love you,” Ember whispered. No words she’f spoken had ever felt so important or so frightening.

“I have loved no one but you.” Barrow looked at Ember, and she saw that his deep gray eyes were the color of the sea upon which they now sailed.

“Kiss me, Ember.”

Now let’s talk about Alastair, I shuddered every time he would so “greatly” express his concerns for Ember and none other but now he has leverage to get Ember running into his arms. Ember’s sister suffers a unfortutane event, Alastair’s brute brother has knocked Ember’s sister up and disgrace her from her family. Now on the run seeking refuge, Ember’s sister arrive at Tearmunn and Alastair jumps in to allow refuge with Lady Eira’s permission. Although she isn’t sure of the sister’s motives or Alastair’s purpose but Lord Bosque isn’t concern and takes a deep interest in Lady Morrow (Ember’s Sister).

Ok before I spill out this Super Spoiler if you haven’t read Nightshade (Calla’s story) or read Rift I greatly warn you . . .

Alastair came up with an idea, and Lord Bosque seems intrigue to see if Alastair’s idea will follow through, now what is this idea? Bonding man and wolf together . . . dun dun dun. YES it was all Alastair’s doing of how the present time Nightshade was form. Alastair is dealing with dark magic that both Lady Eira and Lord Bosque possess and let’s just say Alastair is more devoted to his new-found idea and nothing else. Ember did return and Alastair gave her many cold shoulders and odd conversation but that is all his test to determine Ember’s true intention of returning back.  So the whole man and wolf concept came from Alastair, he created this bond and curse in a way.

Anybody hear wedding belles? Yes there was a wedding and I was freaking out every moment of the way hoping that someone would object but there was a battle instead. Who got married if you asked? I first wonder about this marriage when I re-read BloodRoss bonus chapter, you should read it if you haven’t and that made me worry because I hated the one character and the other character was in love with another warrior.

Here’s a quote that I had a hard time finding that is from Alastair.

Alastair cuffed Ember, making her head ring from the blow.

“Forget them! You are still mine, as you always will be,” he growled at her.

“And in my possession, you will learn the price of betrayal.”

The Battle has begun, sister against sister battle the side of good and evil. Alastair showed his true colors, Man and Wolf are united. When will the next book come and what will it contains, who will win the battle?

RISE Publication Day

Well this was an exciting weekend for me just before I start a new semester and turning over a new leaf.

IMG_4365IMG_4366So I meet Andrea Cremer again, she was promoting her second book of Nightshade Prequel RISE.

Along my journey of attending events, I discovered new book stores in the cities of Minnesota, so if and when I move to the next state over, I’ll know where to go on occasion.

So there were a small giveaway and that prize was the Nightshade poster that we all seen on FB from Andrea Cremer’s page and the publishing company Penguin Teen, I was able to win one for myself and for my best friend who I know will LOVE IT!  I wish she could have come with me but she had family stuff to do, but maybe the next time she’ll come with me 🙂

One of the fans who is an 8th grader, she loves books so she was able to ask a few questions and try to dig inside Andrea Cremer’s head

IMG_13One of the questions I remember was How did she become to be a writer? It all started when she broke her foot from a horseback riding incident, and figure to give the writing thing a try and BOOM! Nightshade was created.

Andrea did quip that she has other books coming out, one is a co-author David Levithan with a book call Invisibility, there will be a book that will take place after Bloodrose and I believe she said it was adult fiction. then another book (but I didn’t catch what it was). So 2013 alone she has 4 books coming out.  Stay Tune!

Here’s another surprise that I found out at the event, another Author was present . . . yes another AUTHOR, her name is Heather Anastasiu the Author of GLITCH, in February the second book “OVERRIDE” will be release and she’ll be at the same bookstore where I just was at. And then “ShutDown” will be release in July.  So I meet a new Author.

Ok whose ready for pictures?

Quarantine: The Loners

My Review of Quarantine: The Loners

Quarantine: The Loners (Quarantine, #1)Goodreads Description

As original as The Hunger Games, set within the walls of a high school exactly like yours.” – Kami Garcia, New York Times best-selling co-author of the Beautiful Creatures novels

It was just another ordinary day at McKinley High—until a massive explosion devastated the school. When loner David Thorpe tried to help his English teacher to safety, the teacher convulsed and died right in front of him. And that was just the beginning.

A year later, McKinley has descended into chaos. All the students are infected with a virus that makes them deadly to adults. The school is under military quarantine. The teachers are gone. Violent gangs have formed based on high school social cliques. Without a gang, you’re as good as dead. And David has no gang. It’s just him and his little brother, Will, against the whole school.

In this frighteningly dark and captivating novel, a 2012 Booklist Editor’s Choice, Lex Thomas locks readers inside a school where kids don’t fight to be popular, they fight to stay alive.

“Take Michael Grant’s Gone and Veronica Roth’s Divergent, rattle them in a cage until they’re ready to fight to the death, and you’ll have something like this nightmarish debut…Thomas’ whirlwind pace, painful details, simmering sexual content, and moments of truly shocking ultra-violence thrust this movie-ready high school thriller to the head of the class.” – Booklist (starred review)

I gave this book 3 stars

The Review:

Can you imagine entering your own high school and then is bombard when every adult start dying around you and you don’t know why? Then you find out you can’t leave the school (every kid worst nightmare) because of a virus that yourself carries and is LETHAL to every adult.  Now you’re waiting on “Graduating” meaning a release date when you becomes virus-free. and re-entering the world.

So what do you do in the meantime awaiting your graduation date? You try to avoid the groups unless you’re in one, you watch out for the person that is the closest to you . . . your brother. A war starts between the Varsity and the Rebels, when David Thorpe is saved from certain death by the leader of the Varsity Sam Howard. Now these two have history together, they were once friends, teammates but everything changes when David lost his mother and separated from the social life AND when David realizes that his own girlfriend was cheating on him and a huge outburst fight between David and Sam before the quarantine happen at the high school.

Will Thorpe is David’s little brother and is a loner, keeps to himself kind of guy. Now Will and David are struggling to survive just as well other teenagers but you have a greater chance of survival if you are in a group and is labeled. Will does his own thing until he save his brother from being nearly killed and also help save a girl named Lucy from certain traumatic.  Now Will had always has eyes on Lucy but never did anything to talk to her until she has eyes for David and now he has conflicted feeling and anger.

There is a fight for survival, a fight among the Varsity and the Rebels . . . there is going to be War, not over resources but over hierarchy status.

My Thoughts:

From the beginning it sounded good and different but to me it was very slow-pace and perhaps another re-read is needed for this book to get a better understanding of this terrify disaster for these teens. School is rough especially when you’re a loner and aren’t friends with the right people and right group that will give you benefits.  David has a lot riding on him to lead this group of followers against the Varsity but does he have the heart for it?

I like Will very much and feel sad that he is always in his brother’s shadow and it worst when a girl he likes doesn’t see him. I could see him as a better leader rather than anybody because he doesn’t take no for an answer and he doesn’t go down without a fight.

But Lucy is also conflicted, she has mixed feeling for both of the Thorpe boys and she couldn’t be more graceful for them for taking her in to their hiding place and shelter.

Shatter Me Review

Yeah Yeah I know I’m a little late on reading this book when everyone is waiting for Unravel Me that coming this

Here’s the detail of the book

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) No one knows why Juliette’s touch is fatal, but

The Reestablishment has plans for her. Plans to

use her as a weapon. But Juliette has plans of

her own. After a lifetime without freedom, she’s

finally discovering a strength to fight back for

the very first time—and to find a future with the

one boy she thought she’d lost forever.

My Review

For awhile, I pushed off this book when it was first release because I had other books that I really wanted to read. So now that I got this book for Christmas I decided one night to read and guess what? I couldn’t put the book down! So let’s start with the review . . .

Juliette is fatal to anyone that touches her, well just about anyone. After so many days being along, she obtain a cellmate named Adam. Although he seems like a jerk he is actually very kind until Juliette is taken out of the cell and into the compound. That is where she met Warner, he has big plans for her. Putting Juliette through courses of what Warner expects of her, her guard/watcher Adam (Yes Adam again)they both learn that Adam can touch her without being fatally hurt.

Now for the boys: Adam and Warner
I fell in love with Adam from the very beginning, even though I was unsure of his purpose but now I know . . . He’s Juliette’s Savior. The bird that Juliette dream that would come and set her free.
Warner, he is beyond the most horrible human I have ever met. His desires are greed and power. He wanted to use Juliette for his own benefits and then among the mist of Juliette escaping he realizes that he can also touch her without any effects. This drove him to a love obsession with her and kiss her when he divided her and Adam. But thankfully Juliette was smart and use his gun to shoot him and took off to find Adam.

Adam shares his devotion and his mission in protecting the ones that are important to him. When you are unsure if someone if a friend or a foe . . . but that one person save your lives by taking you to a top-secret location where Juliette will learn more about who she is.  They will meet others with unique abilities.

What will be next for Juliette, Adam and Warner?

2013 Resolutions

Buddy checking out the shelf

It just a few hours away from the end of 2012.

My storage room

And today I am a happy girl1 My misson today was to hunt down a 2013 wall calendar (which did happen) but I was also on the hunt for a bookshelf. Yes you heard me a bookshelf. I have dozens and dozens of books and not a lot of space/places to put them in. So what happens to all thoses books I’ve read or not top priority read. My closet isn’t for clothes and it hasn’t been for a long time, now I call my closet my storage room because that where everything is stored.

Finishing Touch

I do all my work in my room, and I’m still in the process in creating my own system of organization because I want to (Not need to “WANT”) I have a desk that get buried with paper during the school year (So sorry desk) but I spring clean it after every semester (See . . .  Kat can clean). One plan for the summer is maybe expanding my closet because my dad thinks we can and I hope we can.

  • I write books (Unpublished and undiscloses except for the main character names) I am now using Scrivener so this will get me one step closer in completeling this book that came to me at the end of summer (worst timing).  This book I’m writing is fun and challengeing but that all I can really say. I think I’ll be one of those Author where I say when the book comes up when it ready but we’ll see.

Best Book Boyfriends of 2012

I’ve read many dozens of books this year, with desirable boyfriends and ones that I wish were real . . .

Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)

At first I wasn’t sure about Tod, but after what he’s done since My Soul to Steal and especially in IF I DIE how can you turn him down. Then in Before I Wake sighs the perfect man. He would do just about anything for Kaylee while she struggles to redefine herself after becoming dead. He makes her feel whole and alive more than anything nd he loves her unconditionally.

“For being here. For saving my afterlife and my sanity. For making me look forward to every single day, instead of dreading eternity. And for the record, I don’t care whether you’re wearing  jeans, or the hottest, most workplace-inappropriate candy-striper uniform to ever grace the sterile white halls of this humble public death trap. I’m just glad you’re here.”

Ascend (Trylle Trilogy, #3)

Since book two, I was unsure about Loki, until the end and led him to being quiet an ally for Wendy. He rather be beaten up by the king than bring Wendy to the King. Loki proven himself to Wendy and the rest of the Trylle kingdom despite the fact from where he is from. In the end Loki knew Wendy deserves to be married to love  and they did with the early surprise that had them both stumped but were ready to take on anything.

I knew it was the best thing for you. But I realized how terribly I was going to miss you, and we’d only spent a few moments together.” He brushed back a hair from my face. ” I don’t think I’ve ever really loved anyone until I met you”

Xavier Woods

Heaven (Halo, #3)

Seriously how can you not love Xavier? He is beyond handsome and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect Beth after the two committed the most serious crime that Heaven and Hell disagree with. But there was a reason for it all, in the end it didn’t matter his torture was having Beth taken away until she fallen from heaven to become human.

“Baby . . . aren’t you forgetting something? You’ve been to Hell and back. You survive. You’ve seen your friends die and almost died yourself too many times. Nothing should scare you now. Don’t you know how strong you are . . . how strong we are?”

Noah Hutchins

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)

The guy that went through everything and poses as a Bad Boy act, no ones knew his past until he found Echo.  Noah was trying to do everything for his brothers after a horrible fire that killed their parents. Then ended up in foster home where he fought against foster parents.  Noah thought he could do anything but in some cases he needed that one person he could confide with. In the end he help Echo out of her darkness, help her find herself once again and her memories.

“If you’re scared, tell me. If you need to cry and scream, then do it. And you sure hell don’t walk away from us because you think it would be better for me. Here’s the reality, Echo: I want to be by your side. If you want to go to the mall stark naked so you can show the world your scars, then let me hold your hands. If you want to see your mom, then tell me that, too. I may not always understand, but damn, baby, I’ll try.”

Archer Cross

Spell Bound (Hex Hall, #3)

We love him, we hate him, and then we love him. Of course we were sure of his motives until the second book and then change his way in the third book when helping Sophie beat the battle at Hex Hall and to prevent a new dark ages.

“We’ve tried to kill each other, fought ghouls, and kissed a lot. I’m pretty sure we’re married in some cultures.”

Barrow Hess

Rift (Nightshade Prequel, #1)

A standoff warrior, but it is true that he is just like others that fallen in love. Barrow trained Ember and found himself falling in love, which was the last thing on his mind. In the end he chose to step away but Ember confronted him and then Barrow reveals his true feelings.  The second book should very well meet the standard of what I’d expect of Barrow and Ember so RISE please come soon!

“No, Ember, that is all your strength and none of mine.” She balked, but he kissed her, murmuring against her lips, “And that is why I love you.”

Best Villains of 2012

Which villains can I pick at? the ones that won’t come and kill me for stating the truth.

Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)Soul Screamers: Avari Hellion of Greed

Yeah he is the worst hellion you could meet, and don’t ever sell your soul for greed. He’s been causing trouble for Kaylee throughout the series since My Soul to Save. Avari have found ways to toture Kaylee, one way was impersonating people in her inner circle to a point where she didn’t know whose is whose. Then Avari made deals with other hellions if he were able to get Kaylee’s soul (well before she died) Now in Before I Wake, Avari is able to possess dead people from Kaylee’s past screams, Now the matter is what does Avari have in mind after so many failed attempts?

City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments #5)TMI: City of Lost Souls: Sebastian (Clary’s brother?)

honestly this guy doesn’t care about anything but himself, he was filled with rage and revenge for his father Valentine. The twisted part was possessing Jace  body and mind because Jace’s blood help him return to life/death. Using Lilith’s bond to alter Jace’s memories to believe they are on the same side and plans on raising and army of demons and dark shadowhunters to destroy the world. This link makes it unable to kill him because it will kill Jace too. After a dark ritual, he uses the Infernal Cup to create more evil nephilims and almosts turns Clary but is quickly stopped by the arrival of the Lightwoods and their allies. Before he manages to escape, Clary is forced to stab Jace with the angelic sword Glorious, severing his bond with Sebastian and causing the latter horrible pain. At the end of the book he sends a message to Maryse Lightwood, bloody severed angel wings with a single piece of paper saying “I am coming”

Dark Kiss (Nightwatchers, #1)Dark Kiss: Samantha’s Aunt Natalie and the GREYs

Yes, Samantha’s aunt is certain a villain because I see her more as a foe than a friend. She created the Greys and sent out a particular Grey after her niece Samantha who was unaware just how dangerous a kiss could be. Her plan was to open the barriers to other cities and create more GREYs.  She tried to covert Samantha to realizes the powers of the Greys are meant to be but for reasons Samantha can’t trust her.

Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)Finale: Dante

He trained Nora but turn his back against her because he firmly believes that he is higher than Nephilium and fallen angels. He created lies above lies to get followers and manipulated Nora. Greed is Power and Devilcraft was created.

Best Book Covers of 2012

from me to you, spreding the joy of Christmas 🙂

Let’s Vote! Which Book Covers are the best of 2012?

I’ve decided to choose US Covers Vs International Covers that were beyond my favorite.

So what do you like? What do you love? What don’t you like?

Before I Wake

Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)Before I Wake (Soul Screamers, #6)What I like about these covers, are that they haven’t change the theme of each one. With the UK covers they are presented with a gray and mysterious look. The US fit the bill for all of the other covers presenting Kaylee in a dress.(Only a few was present in the books)  I was curious on what the color for Before I Wake was going to be because Rachel have quip that she’s doesn’t wear pink and therefore Kaylee was presented wearing a pink dress. Rachel Loves the Pink cover and went to find a pink sharpie so she can sign the books in pink ink. From what I can tell that it is a one shoulder dress. Its one of my favorite beside the Sapphire (My Soul to Steal) dress and the omnibus covers white (Volume 1) and Black (Volume 2)

I died on a Thursday—killed by a monster intent on stealing my soul. The good news? He didn’t get it.The bad news? Turns out not even death will get you out of high school…Covering up her own murder was one thing, but faking life is much harder than Kaylee Cavanaugh expected. After weeks spent “recovering,” she’s back in school, fighting to stay visible to the human world, struggling to fit in with her friends and planning time alone with her new reaper boyfriend. But to earn her keep in the human world, Kaylee must reclaim stolen souls, and when her first assignment brings her face-to-face with an old foe, she knows the game has changed. Her immortal status won’t keep her safe. And this time Kaylee isn’t just gambling with her own life.

Partials (Partials, #1)I haven’t read many science-fiction books until now, and what made me pick up Dan Wells’s PARTIALS book was based on the inguring  cover. The US cover remains me of an X-Files Theme or something I’ve seen on television on the SYFY channel that was based on the end of the world disasters. Both covers aren’t much different from each other and I could be happy with either one, I’ve seen the second book of this series and it is similar to the first book but has one extra character on the cover facing the future.

The human race is all but extinct after a war with Partials–engineered organic beings identical to humans–has decimated the population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by RM, a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island while the Partials have mysteriously retreated. The threat of the Partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to RM in more than a decade. Our time is running out.
Kira, a sixteen-year-old medic-in-training, is on the front lines of this battle, seeing RM ravage the community while mandatory pregnancy laws have pushed what’s left of humanity to the brink of civil war, and she’s not content to stand by and watch. But as she makes a desperate decision to save the last of her race, she will find that the survival of humans and Partials alike rests in her attempts to uncover the connections between them–connections that humanity has forgotten, or perhaps never even knew were there.
Dan Wells, acclaimed author of “I Am Not a Serial Killer,” takes readers on a pulsepounding journey into a world where the very concept of what it means to be human is in question–one where our humanity is both our greatest liability and our only hope for survival.

Rift (Nightshade Prequel)

Rift (Nightshade Prequel, #1)Rift I’d personally like the US cover for Rift because it fits the story, the other cover is unclear for the concept of the book, yes there was a love story but that didn’t come til later in the books when the two characters admits their feeling to each other. This book was from the medieval time/era so the other cover doesn’t fit the theme.

Chronicling the rise of the Keepers, this is the stunning prequel to Andrea Cremer’s internationally bestselling Nightshade trilogy!
Sixteen-year-old Ember Morrow is promised to a group called Conatus after one of their healers saves her mother’s life. Once she arrives, Ember finds joy in wielding swords, learning magic, and fighting the encroaching darkness loose in the world. She also finds herself falling in love with her mentor, the dashing, brooding, and powerful Barrow Hess. When the knights realize Eira, one of their leaders, is dabbling in dark magic, Ember and Barrow must choose whether to follow Eira into the nether realm or to pledge their lives to destroying her and her kind.
With action, adventure, magic, and tantalizing sensuality, this book is as fast-paced and breathtaking as the Nightshade novels.

Pushing the Limits

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1)I like the US editon rather than the UK because you can see the slip cover enlarge on the book, but because I don’t know what UK really is. It is an IMO matter. The cover is so dark and brooding but I love it, I found it drawn to me and I kept thinking I had to pick this book up and read it. Best decison I ever made.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with “freaky” scars on her arms. Even Echo can’t remember the whole truth of that horrible night. Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) The epic ending of the HUSH, HUSH series presented a very compelling cover, both version are similar in image and font but across the seas, they use a red font color rather than white or black like the other books in the series. They did a pretty good job on keeping the gray-scale and featuring either Patch or Nora. This time the cover portray what happening in the book, a reach for the love of your life and you’ll do anything to protect him or her.

Fates unfurl in the gripping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Hush, Hush saga.
Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean they are fated to be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. Now Nora and Patch must gather their strength to face one last, perilous trial. Old enemies return, new enemies are made, and a friend’s ultimate betrayal threatens the peace Patch and Nora so desperately want. The battle lines are drawn—but which sides are they on? Pushing the Limits

Everything was so raw in Pushing the Limits, I love the writing and the storyline PLUS two most unlikely lovers that each had their own dark secret past.

Kitty and the Silver Bullet

Major things happen in this book for Kitty, she has a new mate and love plus obtain a pack which makes her the Alpha female and Ben the Alpha male. While something in her life that she never thought of and made her wonder on certain things. But danger always follows Kitty but she stood her ground like every battle she’s faces

The finale of the Halo series, which made me sad because I love Beth and Xavier. They were willing to put everything at risk to be together, while heaven and hell didn’t agree with them their love never faultered. The ending was truly bittersweet as Beth and Xavier now has the rest of their life together.

Before I wake

You all should know but if you don’t sorry to be spoliery but I have to say it. Kaylee die . . . YEP but don’t worry she came back as a extractor. She isn’t with toxic Nash anymore (sorry Nash) but she did a 360 and fell in love with Nash’s older Reaper brother Tod. Now Kaylee must find her place in the human world while hellions are threating to ruin her sanity.

Prepare for WAR, prepare for marriage, prepare for falling in love with the enemy? Wendy’s duties are split into parts, when she becomes queen and falls in love with Loki and married Tove. But Wendy’s friends always help her stand tall while others looks at her like a traitor because of who her father is. Can Wendy save her kingdom, or will she fail?

Hex hall series

If you like Harry Potter, you’ll love the Hex Hall series. You’ll meet Sophie as she learn about who she is and what she is as far as being a witch, she has an awesome vampire roommate, a rlivary, and a thing for the hottest warlock who just happens to be a huge threat towards her.

Dark Kiss

One kiss changes everything and when you are helping fallen angels and demons alike you should only do that but how can you resist one fallen angel? Then you learn about things you never thought exist.

What do you do when the survival rates for humans drops? the virus RM threatens humanity and the “Partials” are the reasons (So they say) One thing to do is capture a partial but along the way you find out something you never expected?

City of Lost Souls

When you anticipating this for montbhs and is left with questions of what will happen next? Yeah you get it from this book as well, so good luck.
