It’s that kind of day

So officially tomorrow I will be removing history class from my list and my english class is soon to be ending for the semester. But that’s not what this post is about . . .

Today is Picture book day in my world, because I’ve been so greatly absent among my reading, reviewing and other stuff. I did go today as a sense of normality to my local bookstore and purchase The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater.

The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle, #1)

“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve,” Neeve said. “Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”

It is freezing in the churchyard, even before the dead arrive.

Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her.

His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble.

But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can’t entirely explain. He has it all—family money, good looks, devoted friends—but he’s looking for much more than that. He is on a quest that has encompassed three other Raven Boys: Adam, the scholarship student who resents all the privilege around him; Ronan, the fierce soul who ranges from anger to despair; and Noah, the taciturn watcher of the four, who notices many things but says very little.

For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the Raven Boys, she’s not so sure anymore.

From Maggie Stiefvater, the bestselling and acclaimed author of the Shiver trilogy and The Scorpio Races, comes a spellbinding new series where the inevitability of death and the nature of love lead us to a place we’ve never been before.

Now that thing I said in the beginning where it was Picture Book day? Here’s a snap shot of my Cat (whom I woke up from his nap and now won’t leave me alone)

That’s all for now, look forward for more picture book days soon!

All Hallows’ Eve

The night is young, but there’s no rest for the wicked

Now don’t worry I’m not a witch that does the whole “bubble bubble troll and trouble” but I was a witch in my past of halloween.

Halloween Costum (not in order)

  • Pocahontas
  • Barbie in a blue dress (cliche I know)
  • Xena the warrior princess
  • A black cat
  • Vampire princess
  • Renaissance girl
  • Witch
  • Doctor in scrubs
  • Gypsy
  • The evil queen from snow white
  • A temporary gorilla

I don’t always celebrate halloween by dressing up, I didn’t take dressing up serious but I love giving out candy.

I’m on candy duties today just before I head off to bowling at 815.  I’ve tried to find some halloween photos but we’re big on christmas more than anything because my birthday is the 28th of december. so maybe around christmas I’ll post some christmas memories. 🙂  But I did my best to find some halloween related photos, so here we go

Note: with Mrs. Pumpkins I am signing love in American Sign Language

I’m going to do another halloween blog of my decor of halloween so look out for the black cat

Infusion Blog #15

It was another Infusion day! BUT! it took longer than usual because of orders being expired so we had to wait for the new orders to be faxed then waiting impatiently for my stuff to come up. I was access for nearly 40 minutes before they finally got my stuff and started. So today I wasn’t done until sometimes after 2pm!  As much I needed a stress free environment I got half.

School is beyond stressed and I’m sooo sleep deprived, I can’t wait for this semester to be over and I will never return back to the university. Those people are nuts paying that much and taking USELESS classes because they want you to broaden your mind. YEAH RIGHT.  I’m on a different track now, and I’m going for something else and I’m still going to pursue a writing career (part-time until I think I need to switch to be a full-time writer).

I made Halloween cupcakes for the staff on the second floor because Halloween is coming up, and in return because of the wait for my IVIG they gave me two VIP tickets to a movie. So I will definitely put those to good use.

So I took some pics of my baking works, a meal that I had which was good. I did some school work today as well but I also took a nap because like I said I’ve been sleep deprived.

I will be doing a Halloween post on Wednesday, not sure what the post will consist of but there will be one and I’m WAAAY behind on posting some book reviews so please pardon me. If anything they will be posted by the end of the year after I’m done with school.

Another series ending, the famous Hush, Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick

I read this series in late November, and I remember going crazy over it! As I was anxiously waiting to get Silence which I got on Christmas 2011 and read it right away.

I love the concept, the theme and the story plot . . . Now the final book “FINALE” will concluded the series and we’ll see what will happen after we left off Silence.

Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)About the Book:

Fates unfurl in the gripping conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Hush, Hush saga.Nora is more certain than ever that she is in love with Patch. Fallen angel or no, he is the one for her. Her heritage and destiny may mean they are fated to be enemies, but there is no turning her back on him. Now Nora and Patch must gather their strength to face one last, perilous trial. Old enemies return, new enemies are made, and a friend’s ultimate betrayal threatens the peace Patch and Nora so desperately want. The battle lines are drawn—but which sides are they on? And in the end, are there some obstacles even love can’t conquer?

I can’t wait to buy this book and read this book which will add one more book read to my GR’s Book Challenge. I have seven book to read before the end of the year, I might make it but it is not of importance that I make it or not because my schedule does not tolerate my reading time from study time.

I will post my reviews of the first three books until I get Finale, but I also need to re-edit the review of the first three. So get ready for the big finale because I’ll expect it to be a wild ride.

Also Halloween is coming up 🙂 So who are you going to be, what are you going to be? I however don’t do a serious dressing up because of many reasons. I’m not big on Halloween, my cat isn’t wicked (Just Joking), it cost money to dress up, and I never know who or what to dress up as. But this year I’m planning to bake cupcakes and decorate the cupcakes in Halloween theme.

The Walking Dead

So my twitter feed has been going crazy on the new season of The Walking Dead,

As much I’m intrigue by this I have never once watch the show so tonight . . . guess who will be watching Season 3 of The Walking Dead.

So here’s to hoping I don’t get completely freaked out but we’ll see.

This is my Zombies 101

Zombies: mindless. fleshing eating, groaning and moaning plus growling, moves slowly

Hunters: survival of the fitness, guns, blood, run, hide, shoot them in the head, NEVER get bitten by a zombie

Zombies related Experience: This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers

How can it be October?

Well the colors of the leaves are falling . . . and yes our leaves change color super early, I will be creating a photography blog on my

So be sure to check it out later this week.

So I’ve been completely stressed and I’m really taking on more than I can balance, but I just keep telling myself that I have 2 and a half months left of school

I miss not writing, I miss my bubbly personality and I miss the fun me . . . where is me?

I know I might or might not reach my GRs reading challenge but we’ll see . . . What I am currently reading is Intertwined by Gena Shadowalter

Right now I’m setting new goals and new perspective in life since my major is not going to be my major

I will be posting a review of Intertwined later this week, and I haven’t decided what to read next . . . either Immortal Rules by Julia Kawaga or something else on my list to read. But also I will be getting Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick later this month because I am dying to know what the conclusion will bring us.

Although while browsing the web, searching up some up coming books Andrea Cremer has gratefully allowed us to read the first two chapter of Rise (second book of nightshade prequel) and I am in AWE and tortured because they were two really great chapter so hurry up 2013! here’s the link to the two chapter.

Infusion Blog #14

Well my first Infusion during the school year . . .

Let’s just say I was glad that it came but I’m sad that it went by quick after all the stress I’d been under

I worked on math mostly spending little time with writing like I intended to but I might write later on tonight after one part of my math is done

Attending an university level is much harder and more demanding than the tech but I’m glad that I’m changing course rather than suffer myself through it

My next infusion will be more crazy since I’m out of town the day before and possibly be missing classes two days.

I am not currently reading any books but I’m trying to still keep my reading challenge of this year 50 reads, I’m at 42 so I can still do it with 3 months left

One book t0-read is intertwined by gena showalter because it sounds interesting I still want to read Damned (Crusade #2) because I’d enjoy the first book and started the second one at the wrong time.

I dont know what would be next after that, I have a very short window of time reading/blogging review between school, bowling and writing,

Until next time . . .

A Discovery!

Ok this is not a book, but it is a relation to a book series. (Update: Rachel Tweeted me saying that they’re still working on the final art work for the mug, I guess its not up to PAR yet so DON”T Order it YET!)

If you haven’t notice I am a HUGE FAN of Rachel Vincent’s Shifters, Soul Screamers and Unbound series, however this discovery is from her Soul Screamer Series.

SO a few weeks back Rachel’s No.1 created a drawing of Kaylee Cavanaugh and yes we all squeal over his amazing artistic skills he is currently working on a more challenging project for Rachel so we have to wait 😦

But the drawing of Kaylee Cavanaugh made it onto a mug provided by Rachel’s CafePress site So I am SO adding this MUG on my christmas/birthday list 🙂 Here’s what it looks like *It is a large Mug

The price is right and for all you screaming fans, you’ll want this in the comfort of your home 🙂 *Remember to look for Rachel on her website, twitter and FB.
